Jade | 02/13/08 | 10:58am | Id give them food because everybody needs food to live |
Dess | 10/27/07 | 2:54pm | I see homless people everday at my job. I dont really feel bad about seeing them,in a way its teaches u a lesson what not to do in ur life. It all depands on what the situation is. If a person is homless because he/she is drug addicted then i dont feel bad. But if a person homeless because of some thing that they couldnt stop from happening like a fire or something in that same area. Then i feel bad. It all depands on what happened. |

Lin | 06/23/06 | 8:15pm | It takes but one circumstance to change our lives we can become the same as the man we pass in a moment |

All in the same sinking ship | 06/23/06 | 2:09pm | Get it?! |
Alex | 06/23/06 | 2:18am | I walk by 10-20 homeless people every day. I don't have money to give to everybody. I do wish they took care of homeless people better here in Los Angeles. Last week when I was at the library TWO separate homeless people (one outside and one inside) had ambulances come and revive them (not sure if they actually brought them). |
Kylie australia | 06/22/06 | 4:57pm | I would give money or whatever i had on me to give , either iam poor or not , cause i know there are worse of people than me in this world .And to give someone something makes me feel good inside that i atleast helped someone . |
-=hanan=- | 06/21/06 | 1:31am | Everytime I see persons like them, I always feel sad:( I really really want to help them, but we are also poor. If I could, why not! right? |
Sylvia | 06/21/06 | 12:19am |
I usually don't give them money because I because I don't believe that is the way to build up an individuals self-esteem, I do however acknowledge them as fellow humans. |
Donna | 06/20/06 | 7:33pm | I prefer to gve food because some might take the money and by drugs or alcohol |
LAURA ALVAREZ | 06/20/06 | 7:02pm | WHEN I SEE A HOME LESS PERSON I WOULD GIVE THEM MONEY OR FOOD. I DO THAT I CARE OF POEPLE . WHEN I GROW UP I WANT TO HELP POOR POEPLE. AGE 11 |
Shonda | 06/20/06 | 11:58am | I think that we should show love and care for the homeless. I personally have been homeless also, not to the point where people off the streets have to give me money, but I know the feeling. I think that homeless people have the capability to succeed I just dont know if they have the will and strength. I pray that God helps those people with whatever it is that they need so that they can be happy. |
Xxsamanthaxx | 06/20/06 | 8:45am | I wuld smile nd walk pat dem coz if i ignore dem dey might turn ariund nd say summut |
Gwennette | 06/19/06 | 7:59pm | I'll prefer to give them a food coz im sure its safe than money, they might just use that money to buy drug or whatever which is harmful to them. |
Mary | 06/19/06 | 11:23am | I was once homeless at a young age. its nothing but hurt and pain, so when i see a homeless person i do not judge, i give them so much money to for the day. They to well succeed. |
Jenny | 06/18/06 | 2:40pm | I generally do not carry food with me so I give
Money whenever I can - Also I do not judge what they do with the money - wether it is used for
food or something else is not my business - it is
a gift. |
Natasha | 06/17/06 | 10:28pm | I think since they dont have very nice things they could better use the food rather then money. but if u give them money they can buy nice clothes so i think it is a tye between food and money |
Vickie | 06/16/06 | 2:51pm | I tell my kids most people who are homeless can't help it with everything that is going on these days I count my blessing I'm not homeless yet. And if i would someone would help me. |

Tammy | 06/15/06 | 4:12pm | I was homeless from 13 off & on until I was 18, I was treated badly by agencies the state would put me in so I'd leave. Its no game its actually hard work just fullfilling the basic needs to not appear homeless. I never asked for money I was too afraid I just found my own way to eat. I would make artsy sculptures from disgaurded goods I'd find & sell em'. I met many good people while out there & cant blame one of em for asking for help, so please help when asked if you can. |
Tara | 06/15/06 | 1:20pm | Well said Amy!!! |
Amy | 06/15/06 | 11:08am | There are many homeless people who are mentally ill and in great need of help. It's always good to be charitable. We are a nation of people who are charitable and generous. One never regrets helping someone, it's not having helped that one regrets. |

Geeze, while we a Nation of Edumakated people are being taken to the cleaners by real gangsters(bush, cheany, rums) we sit & contomplate if we should or shouldnt give a homeless person a buck or two, come-on people when are we gonna realize we are all in the same sinking ship.... |
BRENA | 06/14/06 | 6:30pm | I USED TO BE HOMELESS...SOMETIMES LIFE IS A ROLLER COASTER..ONE MINUTE YOUR UP ENJOYING THE VIEW THE NEXT MINUTE YOU WALLOWING IN THE MUD....THE TEST...TO SEE HOW STRONG YOUR FAITH IS |
Kiton | 06/14/06 | 11:02am | Its funny though cause im a real **** but i have a soft spot for homeless less fortunate people. i will give my last rand to whom ever is hungry or in need. |
Misty | 06/13/06 | 7:13pm | I am not cold hearted or anything, but I don't give homeless people anything. I was taught growing up that there is no reason for anyone to live that way. I have seen homeless people sitting outside of gas stations that are hiring. All they have to do is go in the bathroom, wash up (there is soap and paper towels or blow dryers in most bathrooms) and go to the nearest Post Office and tell them they want their mail General Delivery. No problems...they have an address and they look decent enough to get a job at a gas station. |
Min42 | 06/13/06 | 3:46pm | I don't even go there. there are a million ways to end up on the street. if it was me, i'd like a stranger to give me a cigarette or 50 dollars to buy some drugs or beer. but honestly, it depends what i have, cash or a chocolate bar. sometimes i have to just smile and continue on my way 'cos i've got nothing to 'spare'. sometimes i sit and talk to them late at night in city parks, sharing beer or coffee. so many strange and wonderfule and absolutely awful lives out there.
if you are happy, you are one of the lucky few who know how to be.

Catwoman | 06/12/06 | 11:59pm | I GIVE HOMELESS PEOPLE FOOD NOT MONEY BECAUSE HOW DO I KNOW IF THAT MONEY IS USED FOR FOOD OR DRUGS AND ALCOHOL F YOU REALLY WANT TO HELP A HOMELESS PERSON GIVE THEM FOOD THEN DIRECT THEM TO A SHELTER OR SOUP KITCHEN.DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE OR HEAR A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE JUST OUT TO SCAM YOU AND SOME ARE JUST LAZY NOT ALL OF THEM BUT IF YOU GET IN THE HABIT OF GIVING TO THESE SO CALLED HOMELESS YOU JUST MIGHT BE HELPING THE DRUG DEALERS KEEP THERE JOBS AND DISTROYING MANY LIVES SO WHEN IN DOUBT JUST GIVE FOOD! |
Martha | 06/12/06 | 11:23am | Give him or her my last dollar and give thanks to God I am not in their situation and count my blessings because you never know when the tables may turn! |
Anavets | 06/12/06 | 9:13am | It is so hard anymore to know if someone truely needs help or they are just scamming you.
I own a business and a man stopped by one day and asked if he could do some clean up work around outside. He worked hard all day. It was chilly outside so I made him coffee and gave him hot stew.(part of my lunch) I payed him fairly when he was done. He asked if he could come back in 2 weeks. I told him yes. This went on for a month or so, then he started coming by a couple times a week, I told him to stick to the schedule. One day he came by and asked if I would co-sign for him to by a new car! When I told him no he got upset and started accusing me of not trusting him?! Sometimes people just don't know when enough is enough. He stops by occasionally and asks if he can work for gas money. I tell him no now and send him on his way. I feel bad but I don't like being taken advantage of either. He got to where if I would say No and my husband was here he would ask to speak to him outside and ask my husband to give me permission to tell him yes. What the Hell? I haven't seen him for a few months. |
