Bam Bam | 07/05/07 | 5:27am | Britanny God Bless. |
BRITTANY | 07/04/07 | 5:07pm | BAM BAM KISS ASS |
BRITTANY | 07/01/07 | 4:42am | HA. HA.
LUV YOU GUYS STILL |
Carol | 06/26/07 | 12:33pm | Britteny. i feel sad that someone so young should need to have so much surgary done surely your dad, should be telling you that you ..are beutifull aS YOU ARE |
Tiffany | 06/25/07 | 5:50am | Time for a new poll, this one has ran its course. |
Bam Bam | 06/24/07 | 6:14am | Brittany, your comment about if everyone had the money they would do it too. Not So, your comment shouldn't be all inclusive I wouldn't do it. The fact that you seem to be yelling at everyone shows your extremely immature and self conscious about your own decsions. We can all hear you, but, don't presume to tell others what they would do in this instance. If you want a bigger butt get one; but don't forget everything sags after a while and those with implants sag even more. I know, because the georgeous boobs my sister bought 6 years ago look ridiculous especially after she gained weight. Why do you think Pam Anderson has gone from big, to Humongous... saggy boobs and an obvious case of low self esteem. Be careful what you wish for and don't call people names using the color of their skin. That's ignorant and I will personally report you for abusing this site and it's members. |
Diane | 06/23/07 | 6:21am | Laura and sph (I think I got it right) way to go! You guys are great, tell it like it is, from the heart, consider Toastmasters to widen the range, so people like me can enjoy and yourselves could gain from diversifying your talent. Poor Brittany, a bigger butt may not help to get you the respect you seem to want? Cosmetic surgery is definitely not for everyone but neither is going to a shrink.
Keep up the good work, guys, I like reading what you write. |
Sphs | 06/22/07 | 6:52am | As far as im aware, NOBODY was passing any judgements on u & ur choice of cosmetic surgery Brittany!!What we were discussing HOWEVER, was the fact that a few of us in here were against cosmetic surgery in general---for many good reasons-- EVEN IF according to "today's norms" we were the very types who needed it!! But if u are indeed happy with ur own results, then why do u even bother arguing with us "ignorants"..the only person this should matter to, is YOURSELF, and if u're happy with it, then u certainly dont need to waste ur good time & energy lashing back at those of us who choose NOT to have cosmetic surgery! U may however, argue FOR cosmetic surgery in here if u wish---it is the point of this poll---but NOT to come in here & immediately attack those of us who do not find it necessary for ourselves(read ur very 1st post in here plz)!! Thank u hot buns! ;-) |
Dalal | 06/21/07 | 10:45pm | Wow Brittney...you need some serious therapy. |
BRITTANY | 06/21/07 | 9:53pm | OKAY, MISS LAURA!! FOR ONE THING YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT TO HELL!! BECAUSE I CAN DO AND SAY WHAT THE HELL I WANT! AND ANOTHER THING I AM GLAD TO SOME ITS NOT A MONEY ISSUE. BECAUSE IF IT WASN'T FOR MY DAD I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE A "ISSUE". AND AS FAR AS WORKING OUT IN THE GYM GOES, HONEY WE HAVE A WORK OUT ROOM IN OUR HOUSE AND YES I USE IT EVERYDAY. I JUST WANTED A FULLER LOOKING "ASS" SO **** BACK THE **** OFF!! YOU ****ING WHITE ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Brad | 06/21/07 | 10:05am | My belive |
Laura | 06/19/07 | 5:00pm | Brittany, in a post you made on 6/08 you told all of us not to be so quick to judge. So, why now, are you yelling at those of us who don't agree with plastic surgery? It's not about money, it's a personal choice. Your attitude about "having the money to do it" is so out of line. What would make you believe that that is an influencing factor in others decisions to not get a "boob job" or "butt implants"? No, we can never increase our bust size naturally, but a few hours at the gym each week could help with the flat butt issue. "Butt implants" are just a way to achieve instant gratification.
So, please don't yell the the rest of us about our choices as we have not attacked you. |
Kevin | 06/19/07 | 9:12am | I dont think cosmetic surgery is right and brittany its not about having money its the fact tha tif god wanted you to look that way then he would have you look like that thats why i disagree with plastic surgery but each their on thats just my opinion. |
Dawn | 06/19/07 | 4:02am | Actually no I wouldnt not for any money, even though I have scars on my face which as a woman tends to make people stare more. I am who I am & I'd rather be respected for the real me! |
BRITTANY | 06/19/07 | 12:00am | I WOULD LIKE TO SAY **** ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SOMETHING "BAD" TO SAY ABOUT COSMETIC SURGERY. BECAUSE IF YOU ALL HAD THE CHANCE (MONEY!!!) YOU WOULD GET WORK DONE ALSO!!!!!! |
Sphs | 06/18/07 | 10:10am | I could thank u from now til Christmass Laura!!! I am aware that u can't speak on behalf of EVERY SINGLE female on this planet, but u still did a terrific job, and i believe the things u mentioned, are more or less shared by the general female population. And i agree with u a 100% that in today's society, there is a TREMENDOUS amount of pressure(consciencely or subconsciencely) on the the female population, to try to live up to almost-impossible standards in staying young & beautiful! Btw if u didnt get to watch the clip that i'd posted the link to a little earlier on, u can watch it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYhCn0jf46U |
Dt | 06/18/07 | 9:51am | Sometimes it is neccasARY BUT not always. how would u like a fake body part |
Laura | 06/18/07 | 12:43am | Dear Sphs,
I can't speak for all women, but I know that for me I am not that picky about a man's appearance. If I find a man attractive...well, it's an overall package. I don't not like a guy because his ears stick out, or he has love handles, or his nose is a little crooked. If I don't like a guy it is usually because he is an ass.
I can tell you that women are very critical of themselves. We have been presented with an image in magazines, for example, of what is beautiful. You have to admit, whatever the press deems as beautiful... well, men seem to follow. If a woman believes that she is not beautiful, many will do whatever it takes to become that way.
Finally, to answer your question, I don't think men should be too consumed with the "little" things. However, women do enjoy a man that takes care of himself. Eats right, smells clean (of soap, not cologne) and challenges himself intellectually. These things can't be taken care of with cosmetic surgery. |
Vicky | 06/17/07 | 4:45pm | There is a difference between constructive surgery and plastic surgery is: one if for those borne with defects or had an accident; the other is for people that look themselves in the mirror and don’t like what they see. In other cases when you reach certain age and your spirit doesn’t go along with your looks. Otherwise, WHY NOT? It doesn’t hurt anyone but oneself, in that case. If your age is under 40 you should think about it before you do any kind of surgery, unless is necessary. But if you passed 50 you don’t have too much to think about it, just go and do it. |
Sphs | 06/17/07 | 11:51am | May i ask the ladies/girls/gals/females members of this honourary poll; What features of a man could u find un-appealing, that would result in u asking ur fellow man to have taken care of by plastic surgery?? And for the sake of the arguement, lets just say that he's an average looking fellow(not someone with abnormalities), but he might have big ears, or fat ass, baggy eyes, or something in that nature! I just want to know because i want to hear if the female grp generally believes that plastic surgery is also a VERY good tool when it comes to the men as well!?? How "look conscience" should a guy be?? |
Elle | 06/17/07 | 4:30am | The only time cosmetic surgery should be used is when someone has been disfigured by accident, birth defect etc... For the rest of you.... it is just plain vanity and you need to see a Psychiatirst as you obviously have issues. |
BRITTANY | 06/17/07 | 1:05am | OK YOU GUYS I HAVE TO ADMIT I HAD BUTT IMPLANTS DONE MONDAY AND SO FAR I CAN'T REALLY TELL THE DIFFERENCE BECAUSE I AM STILL SWOLLEN. BUT, JUST WAIT UNTIL ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO GOES BY MY "ASS" WILL BE STUNNING!!! "I BET I COULD GET YOUR MAN"!!! BUT COSMETIC SURGERY IS THE BEST THING SMOKIN' RIGHT NOW SERIOUSLY DUDE!! YOU GUYS SHOULD TRY IT... (IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD IT GET YOUR DADS TO PAY FOR EVERY THING LIKE I DO)LOL!!! BY THE TIME I AM 20 I WILL HAVE HAD A TOTAL OF 4 SURGERIES. I HAVE TO HAVE 2 MORE THINGS DONE AND I WILL BE COMPLETE. BYE-BYE FOR NOW "BABES" |
Ann | 06/16/07 | 7:26am | I feel every one should love how they are. every one has some thing that they dont like about their self but some go over board. |
Di | 06/15/07 | 4:40am | What a stupid question! Of course they do and most of us think about it, too. So what's the point of the poll - make us feel guilty or re-assured, nah, too easy. I say 'Get over yourself, get a life, and your beauty will shine out from within'. |
Ana | 06/12/07 | 11:17pm | Some people and children really need it: for cleft palate/lip, hemangiomas (vascular tumors), cranium deformations, and a myriad of other birth defects that, unless corrected, would have a hugely negative impact on those born that way. Thank God we live in a time where many of these birth defects are correctable.
As for those people who want fat boobs and lips, I advise them to toss out their mirrors and go get involved in charitable acts where you help less fortunate people and stop brooding about yourself. |
Cindy | 06/12/07 | 10:43pm | I think plastic surgery is absolutely ridiculous... With the exception of if it's resulting from a very bad accident of some sort.
My motto: I'm just me. Get over it!
I have nothing to prove. Obviously, some people do.
Have a great day! |
Andi | 06/12/07 | 8:50am | Some people really really need surgery/ies. And if they can afford to get all the changes made, and if it helps boost their confidence and self image, why not? Many of us look descent with what we were borm with, so we should just count our blessings and try not to judge those who really need the surgery - be it for their psychological or physical needs or both |
Sphs | 06/11/07 | 5:16pm | Ok, we got the picture. U had a butt-transplant. Good for u! LLLOL...[j/k!] : ) |
BRE | 06/09/07 | 2:42am | IT'S GREAT |
Sphs | 06/08/07 | 4:12am | I dont believe anybody's judging ppl who DO get cosmetic surgery. The point lays on the opposite side of the arguement, that the majority of the ppl have started to become increasingly more conscience about their own looks because it's gradually sunk into their minds that their looks is the #1 asset in life...it's become a norm to judge urself & others by their looks rather than their other interesting qualities! But i'll go as far as MINIMAL cosmetic surgery, and one can categorize u in that grp...more or less! AND BTW PLZ STOP SHOUTING....WE CAN HEAR U JUST FINE! |
BRITTANY | 06/08/07 | 1:05am | OK, OK I UNDERSTAND ALL OF YOUR OPINONS BUT LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE IF YOU ALL HAD THE CHANCE TO GET COSMETIC SURGERY DONE A BIG PERCENTAGE OF YOU WOULD DO IT. I MEAN WHO WOULD'NT? I HAVE HAD MY "BOOBS" DONE AND THE WORK LOOKS "GREAT" REALLY!!! AND I AM EVEN THINKING ABOUT GONING TO GET WORK DONE TO ENHANCE THE SIZE OF MY "ASS" LIKE REALLY.... SO DON'T BE SO QUICK TO JUDGE!!!!! LOL!! |
Eve | 06/07/07 | 11:06pm | That seems a little too out there to believe without solid evidence. What are those implants supposed to do? |
Danielle | 06/07/07 | 6:13pm | Sorry to say, but from personal experience I have learned that for the past 20 years Doctors and Dentists have used cosmetic surgery as a means to implant vairous electronic chips (RFI) and most of us are walking around with aches and pains that are not being caused by our bodies. You are forewarned. No Doctor, even when they show you what you have in your body, will take them out. |
Candy | 06/07/07 | 5:34pm | We live in an appearance driven society, but every one acts the way he or she wants to. I am not going to knock people for augmenting there body any way that science allows |
Sphs | 06/07/07 | 6:04am | It's also a reflection of a very strong trend within society that DICTATES people to be so d*mn conscience about their own looks! I mean, maybe if we weren't idolizing litterally unrealistic-looking Models, and we didn't try & judge others (subconsciencely or consciencely) by their looks, we would not have been here now! Take a look at this ad for a sec.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYhCn0jf46U |
Eve | 06/06/07 | 11:53pm | I don't understand how people can even stand the idea of an unnecessary surgery. I mean, I would go sky diving or bungy jumping any time, but there is no way I would let myself be cut open just to alter my appearance. If you really like plastic surgery, then go for it all you want. It just takes a certain amount of insanity in my view. |
Sondra | 06/06/07 | 8:29am | It's a good thing the entertainment magazines post the names of celebrities under their pictures because sometimes you just would not know who it is otherwise! I, too, have been frightened by looking directly into the faces of the cosmetically altered and mutilated. Poor Robert Redford lost the natural attractiveness of his eyes, Mary Tyler Moore's mouth is stretched the width of Texas, Kenny Rodgers doesn't even look like Kenny Rodgers anymore, and Meg Ryan tampered with her natural good looks and lost some of that beauty along the way: the list goes on an on. In the book called, "The Power of Self-Esteem" cosmetic surgery is mentioned along with a comment along the lines that true self esteem is not based on looks and cannot be bought at the cosmetic surgeon's office. On the other side I know of 2 people (one man, and one woman) who have rather enormous noses, not just big. I go cross-eyed and can't stop looking at the nose and it's extreme proportions. I guess I would get a nose job if I had that kind of nose. Also, for people who have gotten disfigured from accidents, it would be a God-send. Still, there is something very soothing about looking into a face that has lived a long and healthy life and that has a natural kindness and softness from the long years. |
Elizabeth | 06/06/07 | 12:59am | It's sad to see that most women and in few cases men plastic surgery as a short cut, if u need to reduce in size lose weight or take herbal diet stuff like the GNLD thing, there is no woman as beautiful as the natural woman, all these plastic surgery thing all have side effects that most peolpe are not aware of, and those who are in2 it will not come out to tell the public about it. |
John | 06/05/07 | 5:28pm | Yes i do beleive too many people go overboard with cosmetic surgery.... like others have said on here..... if you have something extreem like burns.... or scars im all for it.... what happened to the beautiful pale curvy women of the past..... those were real women.... the women these days look like barby dolls on crack.... women shouldnt care about loosing weight, having a smaller nose, tanning ect..... health is what they should focus on.... not looks. |
Rain | 06/04/07 | 2:33pm | I'm content with not having the $$$ for plastic surgery, because it removes all temptation to have it. I don't object to the idea itself; there are areas of my face that could stand improvement. What I object to is the bloody and brutal surgery, followed by the distortion of features so commonly seen. How many true artists are there in this field, anyway? Maybe trust is also an issue with me. How do I know I won't be another horror story? I remember Totie Fields, who died from complications of plastic surgery that all started because she had her eyelids done. |
Bryan | 06/04/07 | 2:05pm | I think Cosmetic surgery is one of the best things someone can do for themselves. I've had plenty of little procedures myself, and I think it's the best thing ever! Most people don't know I've had anything done just looking at me. They just notice that I look more attractive and can't really tell why. Plastic surgery done to the point where you can tell something has been done is just the mark of a bad surgeon. The mark of a good surgeon is the ability to make the client look better with out any real decernable ability to pin point exactly why. It's also empowering to take your appearance into your own hands and not be the victim of your own genetics. In America you can be anything you want to be regardless of what you were given at birth. I think that cosmetic surgery is just one more empowerment that people can use to be the best version of themselves. |
Jeff | 06/04/07 | 9:43am | Drake and Emmy obviously had a bad experience or know someone who did. There are definitely cases where cosmetic surgery is necessary like burn victims or people born with deformities of some kind. In cases like this cosmetic surgery is definitely justified. That said, I live in Southern California and I have seen way too many women especially who look like caricatures of themselves. Big unnaturally looking lips and cheek bones, small plastic looking noses, stretched skin and of course large fake breasts. There are some cases where it looks OK, but there are definitely many who have gone way overboard and it's a frightening sight. |
Drake | 06/03/07 | 4:57am | A butcher with an advanced medical degree, but a butcher nonetheless. |
Emmy | 06/03/07 | 3:49am | All a Cosmetic Surgeon is, is a butcher. |
Dream Teller | 06/02/07 | 8:30pm | It matters what you mean by too many people celebrities yes. regular people kind of. |
Sphs | 06/02/07 | 8:27pm | I realize i formulated somethings rather quite poorly in my last comment! What i meant to say was, that no more than 10 yrs ago u could look at a woman(or a man for that sake) and notice that s/he looked pretty good, despite having some kind of a minor 'imperfection(s)' in their looks. This is not going to be the case in the future if the trend with cosmetic surgery becomes too common place for us all. There's also a notion of fascism in the idea, because sooner or later u'll be feeling so much under pressure to get that crookit nose or that un-even chin operated, because the norm will dictate it to everyone that it's almost unaccepted to have imperfect & 'natural' looks. Sooner or later ppl whom we consider as "normal looking" nowadays, will start feeling ashamed of their own "minor" flaws! Just look at how the overweight people are percieved by the society already as it is now! Having said all this, i also feel that if we can somehow keep the trend from going overboard, then in some cases it can be a very beneficial thing for the people who'd REALLY need it![Sorry for the long comments people!] =) |
Sphs | 06/02/07 | 7:43am | YES!!!!!This is a VERY good question for many different reasons, i believe. But the most important reason why i say "yes" to the question, has to do with the fact that we are moving further &further away from what used to be percieved as "natural beauty". The fact of the matter is that the more we are trying to 'beautify' ourselves by cosmetic surgery, the more we will lose that good ol' ORIGINALITY that is undeniably connected to the concept of NATURAL beauty! Just no more than 10 yrs ago, u were allowed to have a big nose, but to be somehow considered as original & beautiful if the other parts of ur face were somehow 'harmonious' with that big nose of urs. But the new trend is going to lead us to a place within the near future, where there will be less & less room for "free play"(hence; originality, ethnicity, etc), and more &more of what i'd call "studio beauty". Michael Jackson is the perfect example! |
Claire | 06/02/07 | 4:08am | How many people here would consider having cosmetic surgery and if so how much is enough? Would you only have one or two things done or change a lot of yourself (pretending money is no object)? |
