TITANS
The result of the union between Gaea and Uranos, theTitans were giants, and twelve in number. Their names wereOkeanos, Tethys, Hyperion, Theia, Kreios, Eurybia or Mnemosyne, Koios, Phoebe, Kronos, Rhea, Japetos and Thenis. Of these, Kronos and Rhea became the parents of the race of Greek gods, being in turn deposed by their children. The others rose against Uranos, and later Zeus, who defeatedthem.
