PHINEUS
A king of Thrace, whom the gods had punished for the crime of cruelty to his own son and---more importantly---contempt of they themselves, by setting on him the Harpies, who allowed him no rest, fouling or carrying off his food. Having shown the Argonauts the way to Kolchis, however, he was freed of the dread sisters by the two sons of Boreas the windgod, Kalais and Zetes.
