NIMROD The godless king of Hebrew myth, he had attained world dominion by the wearing of the original garments of Adam and Eve, which were imbued with great power. However, not satisfied with power over the world, Nimrod wished dominion over Heaven too, and to this end decided that he would have a tower built to scale Heaven. His plan was confounded by Yahweh, though, who confused the languages of the men and women working on the construction of the Tower of Babel, so that strife broke out over misunderstandings among his people, and the tower was never completed.
