JUOK God of the Shilluk, tribesmen living on the upper reaches of the River Nile. The Shilluk see the world as two divine loaves, Opunne, the heaven and the earth, divided by the great river Nile. Juok is omnipresent;he gave the Shilluk cattle, millet, and fish, and is the giver of life through his breath. He also heals the sick.
