HORUS The son of Osiris, in Egyptian mythos, Horus was a god of the sun, seen as the avenger of his father, and he had the head of a hawk. He lost an eye in his battle with Seth, who had killed his father, and although he defeated Seth, and regained the lost eye, he gave it to Osiris, keeping in its place a serpent.
