GAYOMART The First Man in Persian mythology, the creation of Ahura Mazdah. For three thousand years Gayomart lived as a spirit before assuming the corporeal form of a handsome youth. After living thirty years on the Earth he was poisoned by Ahriman, through the whore Jeh. From his seed grew the father and mother of the human race, Mashye and Mashyane, who forsook Ahura Mazdah for Ahriman, and as punishment were condemned to the eternal hell.
