Wyatt Earp (March 19, 1848-January 13, 1929), was a Teamster, sometime buffalo hunter, officer of the law, gambler, and saloon-keeper in the Wild West and the U.S. mining frontier from California to Alaska. He is best known for his participation in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral along with Doc Holliday, Virgil Earp, and Morgan Earp.
Earp is the major subject of about 10 films and many biographies and works of fiction (see lists at the end of this article).
