Tom Ward (born 1971) is a British/Welsh actor. He was born in Swansea, Wales, on January 11, 1971 to Welsh poet John Powell Ward and his wife Sarah Ward OBE, a farmer. His brother Tristan is a solicitor. He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford. He was a member of the drama society and it was there that he decided to pursue acting as a career. He has fenced for Great Britain.
His TV appearances include Moll Flanders, Pride and Prejudice, Vanity Fair, Love in a Cold Climate, a BBC adaptation of The Lost World, Red Cap and Silent Witness. Theatre work includes An Inspector Calls, Hamlet, The Vortex, Hay Fever and The Merchant of Venice.
In 2001, Tom married journalist Emily Hohler. They currently live in rural Kent. They have three children: Jack Ward was born in 2002 and next year daughter Tabitha was born. A second boy was born in 2006.
