Tina Barrett (born 16 September 1976 in London, England) was a member of the pop band S Club 7.
Like the rest of S Club 7, Tina's career took many twists and turns before she hit the big-time with S Club. And like her bandmates, she was showing off her talent from a very early age.
This meant putting on shows for her family, dancing with Lionel Blair in pantomime and even winning a hula-hoop competition at the age of eight. But she soon got over that to train in classical ballet at London's Arts Educational School, which helped propel her into the spotlight.
Cue Tina dancing alongside the likes of Toni Braxton, Jarvis Cocker and the Royal Opera Company. And as if that didn't keep her busy enough, Tina also modelled in various fashion shows and starred in a Disney special.
"Working with stars and travelling gave me a taste for showbiz, but nothing could have prepared me for what being part of a band involves," she says. "Initially, it was pretty daunting, But we've all grown up and become a bit wiser over the past few years. And the more we do, the better it gets."
According to Jon Lee, Tina is the most mature member of S Club, the most grounded and Tina herself is the first person to admit that she's not your typically girlie girl - if anything she's a little kooky - but that doesn't mean she's no fun. You only have to hear her saucy laugh or one of her hilarious comic outbursts to realise that.
And Tina's more than a match for Jon in the sarcasm stakes. "I've got quite a dry, Blackadder sense of humour," she reveals, "So, I tend to come out with things that could be taken the wrong way." Now she tells us!
Tina is busy working on a solo album right now. Two tracks that have been rumored to be on her debut album are Moon Child and Love Crime. Tina's debut solo album will be released in the fall.
