Sue Carol (October 30, 1906 - February 4, 1982) was an American actor. She was born Evelyn Lederer to a Jewish American family in Chicago, Illinois. One of the WAMPAS Baby Stars, for eleven years from 1927 to 1937, she performed in motion pictures then became a successful agent.
For her contribution to the motion picture industry, Sue Carol has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1639 N. Vine Street.
She married actor Alan Ladd in 1942 with whom she had a son and with whom she remained until his death in 1964.
Sue Carol died in 1982 in Los Angeles, California from a heart attack and is interred next to Alan Ladd in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.
