In 1960, she was the Playboy magazine "Playmate of the Month" for January. In 1962 she starred opposite Elvis Presley in Girls! Girls! Girls!. She appeared in Irwin Allen's The Poseidon Adventure as Ernest Borgnine's former hooker wife, among other acting work, much of it on TV.
In 1960 she won a Golden Globe Award for "Most Promising Newcomer - Female", which was shared with Tuesday Weld, Angie Dickinson, and Janet Munro.
She toured with the late Sandy Dennis in a touring production of an all-female version of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, definitely playing the messy one.
