Russ Hochstein (born October 7, 1977, in Hartington, Nebraska) is a guard for the New England Patriots. After attending the University of Nebraska, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2001 NFL Draft. A year later the Pats picked him up. He started in 2003 In Mike Compton's place, then, after a year on the bench, became a starter again when Joe Andruzzi left for Cleveland. Hochstein appears in a Visa commercial with Tom Brady and his fellow offensive linemates Dan Koppen, Tom Ashworth, Brandon Gorin and Matt Light.
Currently, Russ has a first cousin named Ben Hochstein who plays for the University of Nebraska Omaha Mavericks, hoping to one day play next to Russ for the Patriots.
