Rick Rockwell (born on November 27, 1956 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) played the titular millionaire on the 2000 reality television show entitled, Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?.
In fact, Rockwell was a comedian and corporate speaker who hoped to use the show to advance his career. He was a regular, using his birth name Richard Balkey, on the Southern California comedy club circuit from mid 1980s to mid 1990s. He made it as to the finals of Star Search and was voted "Hollywood's Hottest New Comic" in 1990. He claimed to be a millionaire real estate investor, but in reality he only dabbled in real estate.
Rockwell's past was also checkered by numerous restraining orders filed by former girlfriends and roommates. In 1991, Debbie Goyne filed a petition for a restraining order, charging Rockwell with threatening her life after she broke off their engagement. In 1982, Mark High won a restraining order against Rockwell, claiming that Rockwell had threatened and physically assaulted him.
