Phil Dent (born February 14, 1950 in Sydney) is a former professional tennis player from Australia, who reached his highest singles ranking on January 16, 1978, when he became the number 19 of the world. Dent was the men's singles runner-up at the Australian Open in 1974 and a men's doubles champion at the Australian Open in 1975. During his career, he won three top-level singles titles and 24 doubles titles. His son Taylor Dent became a professional tennis player, and is competing for the United States.
