Peter Nero (born May 22, 1934) is an American pianist and pops conductor.
He was born in Brooklyn and started his musical training at the age of 7. He attended the New York High School of Music and Art and received a scholarship to the Juilliard School of Music.
He recorded his first album in 1961 and won the Best New Artist Grammy Award.
He is the father of two children, Beverly and Jedd.
He currently is the artistic director and conductor of Peter Nero and the Philly Pops(R).
