Patty Murray (born October 11, 1950) is a Democratic United States Senator from Washington. She was first elected to the Senate in 1992 and has held the position since then. She was the chairwoman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee from 2001 to 2003, and she is currently the ranking member of the United States Senate Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee.
