Mike Stanton (born June 2, 1967 in Houston, Texas) is a left-handed specialist relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who plays for the Washington Nationals. Previously, Stanton played with the Atlanta Braves (1989-95), Boston Red Sox (1995-96), Texas Rangers (1996), New York Yankees (1997-2002, 2005), New York Mets (2003-04), the Washington Nationals (2005) and the Boston Red Sox (2005) for one game. He then returned to Washington during the 2005 offseason, agreeing to a one-year contract on December 24, 2005. From 1989 through 2004, Stanton has posted a 57-50 record with a 3.76 ERA and 76 saves in 968 games pitched. He made the American League All-Star team in 2001.
