Mike Keane (born on the 29th of May, 1967 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) He is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently playing for the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League (AHL). Position: right winger Shoots: Right Height: 5 ft 10 in Weight: 185 lb Mike Keane signed as a free agent on the 25th of September, 1985, with the Montreal Canadiens and started his NHL career in 1988. He spent 8 seasons in Montreal before being traded to the Colorado Avalanche during the 1995-96 NHL season. After Colorado, he went to the New York Rangers for part of a season before being delt to the Dallas Stars in 1997-98. He played in Dallas until 2000-01. He started the 2001-02 NHL season with the St. Louis Blues but finished that season back with Colorado. Keane stayed in Colorado until he left for Vancouver at the start of the 2003-04 NHL season. At the start of the 2005-06 NHL season, Keane signed with his hometown Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League under a pro tryout contract, and is now a full member of the team, as well as their captain. He is a 3-time Stanley Cup winner, having won with the 1993 Canadiens, 1996 Avalanche and again in 1999 as a member of the Dallas Stars.
Mike Keane has also played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Sherbrooke Canadiens, the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the Moose Jaw Warriors and Winnipeg Warriors, and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) for the Winnipeg South Blues. He was captain of the Montreal Canadiens from April 1995 to December 1995.
