Mike Gallego Michael Anthony Gallego born October 31, 1960 in Whittier, California was a Major League Baseball infielder. Mike's career lasted from 1985 to 1997. Mike played for the Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, and St. Louis Cardinals. He played the role of everyday second baseman for the Athletics during their three year run of A.L. Championships ('88-'90) and World Series Championship ('89). He was known more for his glove than his bat throughout his career.
