Matt Light (born June 23, 1978 in Greenville, Ohio) is a star offensive tackle on the New England Patriots. He was selected with the 48th pick overall in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Purdue University. Arguably his most impressive game came in Super Bowl XXXIX, when he held heralded defensive end Jevon Kearse to two meaningless tackles.
Light appears in a Visa commercial with Tom Brady and his fellow offensive linemates Dan Koppen, Tom Ashworth, Russ Hochstein, and Brandon Gorin. He is one of the "metaphors" for the five layers of Visa protection.
