Maryon Allen (born November 30, 1925) was a United States Senator from Alabama. In 1978, she was appointed as a Democrat to the United States Senate by Governor George Wallace, to succeed her late husband, James Allen.
She ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination in the election in 1978 to fill out the rest of the term; she was defeated in the Democratic Party primary by Donald W. Stewart, who went on to win the general election. She served from June 8 until November 7, 1978.
After the end of her brief service in the Senate, Allen served for a time as a columnist for the Washington Post.
