Mai Zetterling as an actress born in Västerås, Västmanland, Sweden on May 24, 1925. She died in London, England, from cancer on St. Patrick's Day in 1994, at the age of 68; she also lived for a time in Australia. She was involved in films in five different decades, from the 1940s through the 1990s. Her last role was as Luke's grandmother in the film adaptation of Roald Dahl's book The Witches.
