Lance Norris (born August 9th, 1962) is an actor/writer/director/stand-up comic/mentalist. Norris was a stand out college wrestler under US Olympic Team Coach Jim Peckham and player coach of the Whitman Rugby Union, before turning his sights to theatre, where he played Squeers in the west coast premire of the eight and a half hour long play The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby
He has played small roles in movies like Mystic River, Glory, Be Cool and With Honors.
For 19 and half years Norris co-hosted a morning show for Viacom in Boston on WBCN and WZLX. According to The Internet Movie Data Base he was also a consultant for the short lived "Mike O'Malley Show" on NBC. He was nominated for an Emmy for writing on "Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher" on Comedy Central.
Norris was a contributing editor at National Lampoon and has written for Entertainment Weekly, Mad Magazine and many other publications. He was also the SWAT Team Leader on the Fox TV show "Against The Law".
According to amazon.com he is the author of the book Ask A Bitter Man Vol.1 and a number of plays, the most popular being 8 Gr8 D8s and JWL. He has also written over 100 songs published by BMI, and acted as songwriter for the Boston band The Stools.
Norris lives on the coast, south of Boston, with his wife Amy and their four children. As of 2005 he was teaching acting workshops at UMass and up and down the east coast, and is working as a mentalist at various corporate gigs. He is also on the board of directors for the Plymouth Independent Film Festival.
