Kyra Sedgwick (Born August 19, 1965) is an American actress who was born in New York City, New York to a father of English descent and a Jewish mother. She is the great-granddaughter of Endicott Peabody, the founder of Groton School. A graduate of USC, Kyra made her debut on the television show Another World at the age of 16. She and her husband, Kevin Bacon, live in Connecticut. They were married September 3, 1988 and have two children, Travis and Sosie Ruth. However, Kyra, like her husband, is not fond of Los Angeles, but is in California for her TV series The Closer.
Sedgwick possesses a Bacon number of 1, as she is one degree away from her husband Kevin Bacon via the 2005 movie Loverboy.
She is a cousin of Andy Warhol superstar, Edie Sedgwick.
