Kristin Davis (born February 23, 1965) is an American actress who is most famous for the role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City.
Davis was born in Boulder, Colorado, and grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, where she attended A.C. Flora High School. She then attended Rutgers University, graduating in 1987.
Before Sex and the City, Davis was a cast member on the primetime soap opera Melrose Place and also has also had roles in other television series including Friends and Seinfeld. She has also hosted the VH1 show 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons.
In 2005, Davis starred in a television pilot entitled Soccer Moms in which she and Gina Torres star as two suburban mothers who moonlight as private detectives. Other films include The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D, where she plays Max's mom, opposite David Arquette and George Lopez, and the Walt Disney Pictures film The Shaggy Dog, where she plays Rebecca Douglas, opposite Tim Allen. She also performed in ABC Family's Christmas movie, Three Days.
