Katy Rose (born 27 January 1987, real name Kathryn Rosemary Bullard) is an American pop singer. She was born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Tarzana, California. Her first recordings were released in 2003 on movie soundtracks. Overdrive and Lemon were played during the movie Thirteen, and Teachin' Myself to Dream was performed on the Agent Cody Banks soundtrack.
Her debut album, Because I Can, was released in the U.S. on her 17th birthday, 27 January 2004. It includes Lemon and Teachin' Myself to Dream. A third song, Overdrive, was included in the movie Mean Girls (which opened later that year) and was released as a successful single.
Her debut album displays a wide range of different vocal styles including grunge music and lounge music, but with pop hooks.
