Junior Spivey (born January 28, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) is a second baseman in Minor League Baseball who plays for the Memphis Redbirds. He bats and throws right-handed. Spivey attended Cowley County College, Kansas. He was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 36th round of the 1996 amateur draft and played in the majors for the Diamondbacks from 2001 to 2003. Spivey was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers with Craig Counsell, Lyle Overbay, Chad Moeller, Chris Capuano, and Jorge de la Rosa for Richie Sexson, Shane Nance, and a player to be named later. The Milwaukee Brewers sent Noochie Varner to the Arizona Diamondbacks on December 15, 2003 to complete the trade. Spivey played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2004 and 2005, until he was traded mid-season to Washington Nationals in June 2005 for pitcher Tomokazu Ohka. He signed with St. Louis on December 23, 2005.
In his first four seasons, Spivey was a .277 hitter with 41 home runs and 177 RBI in 380 games. He made the National League All-Star team in 2002.
