Jonny Lee Miller (born November 15, 1972) is an English actor. He was the first husband of actress Angelina Jolie. He was born in Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey, England. His grandfather was Bernard Lee, famous for playing the character M in the earlier James Bond films.
After a stint in EastEnders as Jonathan Hewitt, Jonny Lee Miller got his big break in films with Hackers (1995), co-starring Angelina Jolie, whom he married the following year. They divorced four years later.
Shortly afterwards, Miller took a leading role in Trainspotting (1996), which brought him real notoriety. The accent he used in the film was so convincing that it led many people to believe he was a Scottish actor. In 1997, he played Billy Prior in the film adaptation of Pat Barker's World War I novel, Regeneration.
On television he has appeared in the BBC's modernisation of The Canterbury Tales and as Lord Byron in a television drama about the life of the poet.
