John Phillip Law (born September 7, 1937 in Hollywood, California) is an American film actor who is best known for his role as the blind angel Pygar in the science fiction classic Barbarella (1968). With his tall body (6 feet 5) and his steel blue eyes Law became a sex symbol in the 1960's. He was an important guest on Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion and also a society person. Law never became a real superstar but he was very popular as an action hero in over and more than 100 Italian B-movies. Most of them were westerns, science fiction, action and war movies.
