Jean Smart (born September 13, 1951 in Seattle, Washington) is an American film and television actress. She starred on Designing Women from 1986 to 1991 and Kim Possible from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, she was part of the short-lived sitcom Center of the Universe.
In January 2006, Smart joined the cast of 24 playing the First Lady of the United States, Martha Logan.
Smart is married to actor Richard Gilliland. They have one son named Connor Gilliland. She is a graduate of Ballard High School.
