James H. Budd (May 18, 1851 - July 30, 1908) was Governor of California from 1895 until 1899. Prior to this, he served as California Representative for the 2nd district in Congress from 1883 to 1885. Budd was a graduate of University of California at Berkeley. He was born in 1851 in Janesville, Wisconsin and died in 1908 in Stockton, California.
