Ibrahim Kutluay (born 7 January 1974 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish basketball player. The 6'6", 200 lb. guard has played for Fenerbahçe SK, Ülkerspor and Efes Pilsen SK. He returned to Europe during the 2005 NBA All-Star break after languishing on the bench of the Seattle SuperSonics, for which he played in only five games during the 2004-05 season. The last season, he played guard with Greek Euroleague power Panathinaikos.
He scored as a record 50 points in U-22 1996 European Championship against Italy, and also 41 points in an Euroleague match against Cibona Zagreb.
He has been one of the best 3-point shooters in Europe and one of the fastest players in his position. However, his off-ball defence is very poor and his dribbling ability with his left hand has been questioned.
Kutluay signed a 2-year-contract for Turkish outfit Ãœlkerspor in summer 2005.
