Henry J. Nowak (born February 21, 1935) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from New York. Nowak was born in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Canisius College in 1957 and the University of Buffalo Law School in 1961. From 1957 until 1958 and from 1961 until 1962 he served in the United States Army. He was comptroller of Erie County from 1964 until 1974 and was a delegate to the 1972 Democratic National Convention. In 1974, he was elected to Congress and served from January 3, 1975 until January 3, 1993.
