Hans Conreid Hans Georg Conried, Jr. (April 15, 1917 - January 5, 1982) was a comic character actor and voice actor born in Baltimore, Maryland of Jewish descent. His inimitable growl and impeccable diction were perfectly suited for portraying comic villains and other mock-sinister or cranky types.
