Gary Kemp (born 16 October 1959, in Islington, London) is a British pop artist who was the leader and chief songwriter for the 1980s New Romantic band Spandau Ballet. His brother Martin Kemp played bass guitar in the band. Following the demise of the band, Kemp became an actor, winning rave reviews for his performance as Ronald Kray in The Krays (1990).
He was married to actress Sadie Frost (the couple divorced in 1997) with whom he had one son, Finlay Munro (born 1990). Gary is now married to costume designer Lauren Barber with whom he has another son Milo Wolf.
Gary Kemp released the folk inspired Little Bruises album in 1995, his only solo album and has written songs with a number of writers for other artists including American soap star Jacob Young
He has also written two productions with Guy Pratt for the stage: "Bedbug" which was performed in a variety of venues during the Shell Connections Youth Drama Festival in 2004 and "A Terrible Beauty" which is based on the life of WB Yeats & Maude Gonne
