Fred Dryer (born July 6, 1946 in Hawthorne, California) is an American actor and former American football player in the National Football League (NFL). He played collegiate football for the San Diego State University (SDSU) Aztecs. Dryer is best known for his role in 1980s television show Hunter in which he co-starred with Stepfanie Kramer. While playing for the Los Angeles Rams in 1973, Dryer became the only NFL player ever to have two safeties in the same game. No other player has recorded more than two safeties in a single season.
Dryer was born on the same day as President George W. Bush and Sylvester Stallone and he is known to be a conservative.
