From 1993 through 2005, Viña played for the Seattle Mariners (1993), New York Mets (1994), Milwaukee Brewers (1995-99), St Louis Cardinals (2000-03), and Detroit Tigers (2004-2005). Before the start of the 2006 season, he was cut by the Seattle Mariners and is currently a free agent. In a 12-season career, Viña is a .282 hitter with 40 home runs and 343 RBI in 1148 games played.
