Eric Karros (born November 4, 1967 in Hackensack, New Jersey) is a former standout first baseman in Major League Baseball who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1991-2002. He ranks third all-time in Dodgers history with 270 Home Runs and ranks sixth in runs batted in with 976. He was named National League Rookie of the Year in 1992 and finished fifth in the Most Valuable Player voting in 1995. He finished his career with the Chicago Cubs (2003) and Oakland Athletics (2004). Karros now works as a color commentator for baseball on ESPN as well as KCAL-TV in Los Angeles, where he does the pre-game show for the Dodgers games. He had also worked for Fox Sports in 2004 doing the pregame shows for the Major League Baseball playoffs.
Karros attended UCLA and has a degree in economics.
