Darlene Hooley (born April 4, 1939 in Williston, North Dakota) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Oregon and represents the 5th Congressional District (map) in West Linn. In 1961, Hooley received a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University and worked as a school teacher until 1975. She served on the West Linn City Council from 1976 to 1980. Hooley was elected to the Oregon State Legislature and served as a State Representative from 1980 to 1986. She served on the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners from 1986 to 1996. In 2000, Hooley was a delegate representing Oregon at the 2000 Democratic National Convention.
First elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1996, Hooley began serving in the 105th Congress in 1997. She is currently serving her fifth term. She is a member of the Science, Financial Services, and Veterans' Affairs committees.
Hooley has two children, Chad and Erin, and is a member of the Lutheran church.
