Danny Bonaduce (born August 13, 1959 in Broomall, Pennsylvania) is an actor and disc jockey. He originally gained recognition by starring in the television series The Partridge Family from 1970 to 1974. Danny Bonaduce played the role of wisecracking Danny Partridge in the 1970s series. He was a good match for Dave Madden who played the Partridge Family manager.
He married Setsuko Hattori in 1985 and divorced her in 1988. In 1990, he met his second wife, Gretchen on a blind date. They married that same day (Bonaduce claims he only married her so he could sleep with her). They have two children together. He is the son of veteran TV writer/producer Joseph Bonaduce (1927-2004).
As an adult, he has had a successful career as a radio announcer and co-host of The Other Half, a daytime talk show positioned as a complementary show to The View. He was very successful at WLUP in Chicago. Later, Danny hosted weekday mornings in Detroit at WKQI then flying to Chicago for afternoons at WLUP. Then in Los Angeles co-hosting the morning drive-time show on Star 98.7 FM (KYSR) with Jamie White. He is a frequent guest on the Loveline radio program.
In 2001 he released his autobiography, Random Acts of Badness.
Bonaduce filed a lawsuit against Jamie White on September 28, 2005 for allegedly slandering him on air while he was in rehab. He claims she lied about him showing up to work under the influence of drugs. Bonaduce claims he was never under the influence of drugs while at work. The outcome is still pending.
He is currently the star of Breaking Bonaduce, a celebreality show on VH1, and has appeared on Howard Stern's Howard 100. On his Sirius Radio show he announced that serious talk is being done for a full time show on Howard 100.
