Charlie Hunnam (born 10 April 1980 in Newcastle, England) is an English actor. Charlie is famous for playing Nathan Maloney in Queer as Folk (1999), and more recently appearing in film adaptations of Nicholas Nickleby (2002) and Cold Mountain (2003). He also starred in the short-lived FOX series Undeclared. He is slated to appear in Alfonso Cuaron’s film adaptation of The Children of Men, set for a 2006 release.
Hunnam was married to Katharine Towne from 1999 to 2002.
In 2005, he starred in Green Street Hooligans as Pete Dunham, leader of the GSE football firm. His performance received lukewarm reviews, with many criticizing his rendition of a Cockney accent.
