Charles William Fulton (August 24, 1853 - January 27, 1918) was a United States Senator from Oregon. Born in Lima, Ohio, he moved to Iowa in 1855 with his parents, who settled in Magnolia. He attended the common schools, moved to Pawnee City, Nebraska in 1870, studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1875 and practiced. He moved to Oregon and settled in Astoria in 1875; he was a member of the Oregon Senate in 1878 and city attorney from 1880 to 1882. He was elected to the State senate in 1890, 1898, and 1902, and was its president in 1893 and 1901. Fulton was elected as a Republican to the U.S. Senate and served from March 4, 1903, to March 3, 1909; he was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection. While in the Senate he was chairman, Committee on Canadian Relations (Fifty-eighth and Fifty-ninth Congresses) and a member of the Committee on Claims (Fifty-ninth and Sixtieth Congresses). He resumed the practice of law in Portland, where he died in 1918; interment in Ocean View Cemetery, Astoria.
Elmer Lincoln Fulton, Charles' brother, was a United States Representative from Oklahoma.
