Carrot Top (born Scott Thompson on February 25, 1967 in Cocoa Beach, Florida) is an American prop comedian famous for his brick-red hair, and television commercials. He spends fifteen weeks a year doing live performances in Las Vegas and does over 100 shows a year on tour. His comedy routine is most known for his comedic use of props (what Jerry Seinfeld derisively termed a "prop comic"). Due to his appearance, he is often mentioned (and ridiculed) on television shows such as The Tonight Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Larry Sanders Show, Mr. Show, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Too Late with Adam Carolla, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Scrubs, South Park, and The Late Show with David Letterman. He is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. When someone suggested he try out for the college talent show he tried a few old jokes, but found real success the next year when he added a few props to his act. Carrot Top has also appeared in movies, including 1998's Chairman of The Board, and has served as a spokesman in commercials for AT&T. Carrot Top’s brother, Garret, is a member of the Virginia Air National Guard. In 2005, Carrot Top performed a show at Naval Base Ventura County as part of the Spirit of America Tour.
