Bobby Allen (Born 14 November 1978, in Braintree, Massachusetts), is an American professional ice hockey player. He plays defense. Allen played for Boston College, from which he was selected 52nd in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, by the Boston Bruins. He was subsequently traded to the Edmonton Oilers on the 2002 trade deadline, in exchange for Sean Brown. He has spent the majority of his professional career in the American Hockey League, although he did play one game for the Oilers in 2002/03. In the fall of 2004, he was signed as a free agent by the New Jersey Devils.
