Antoine Winfield (born June 24, 1977) is a professional American football player in the NFL. He played college ball for Ohio State University, winning the Jim Thorpe Award as the nations top defensive back in 1998, and joined the NFL in 1999. As of 2004, a Minnesota Vikings defensive back who was formerly part of Buffalo Bills' strong defense in the year 2000 coordinated by Ted Cottrel. He is regarded as one of harder hitting cornerbacks in NFL and also known for his accuracy in tackle and forcing turnover. He had 1 interception against Brett Favre in 2004 wild card game against the Green Bay Packers. He went to Garfield High in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
