Amanda Redman (born 12 August 1959) is a British actress most famous as Alison Braithwaite in the television series At Home with the Braithwaites. She took over from Alfred Molina in the 1990's comedy drama El C.I.D., playing a new female lead in the series, and played Diana Dors in the 1999 TV movie The Blonde Bombshell. Most recently, she has starred in the TV series New Tricks.
Redman, who was born in Brighton, is president of the Brighton Little Theatre. She is also involved in drama education at the Artist's Theatre School.
