A. Whitney Brown (born Alan Whitney Brown on July 8, 1952, in Charlotte, Michigan), is a comedian probably best known for his recurring appearance on Saturday Night Live in the 1980s as a joke news correspondent opposite Dennis Miller who delivered humorous opinion pieces known as "The Big Picture". He currently works at Air America Radio. More recently, he appeared on the The Daily Show during the Craig Kilborn era, again as a news correspondent. He has also worked as a writer for these comedy shows as well as Tales from the Crypt.
Brown began his career as a street juggler and musician before finding regular employment as a comedian and comedy writer.
In March 2004, he was fired from Air America Radio for insubordination (the network hadn't launched yet), but was re-hired months later.
